Evening Post Work Experience

Back in July, I managed to get a work placement in the South Wales Evening Post which covers Llanelli, Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea.  Learnt a lot during my work experience to be fair and even managed to get one picture printed in the paper which was class.  Hears some of the work that I did during my work experience.

Swansea Continental Market

On the last day of my work experience, I was asked to go out and find a story and if it was good enough quality to go in the paper, it would get printed.  In fairness, it wasn't quite the sort of shot they were looking for (too much going on in background and too much space for press photography) but the main photo editor Steve said he'd let it go in on Monday's paper.  So happy days, been published in the local paper!

Retiring Teacher At Cwmbwrla Primary School

On this shoot, I went out with one of the other photographers who worked for Evening Post as they were asked to get photographs of leaving Cymbwrla school as she was retiring.  These were the two best images I got at this shoot.

Clyne Golf Club

This was a photograph taken at 'Clyne Golf Club' for their promotion on supporting our troops, offering them a free membership at their club.

Weight Loss, Dragon Hotel Gym

This photograph was taken at the gym in the bottom of the Dragon Hotel in Swansea.  The story was about this girl pictured who lost 2st in their gym before going on holiday to Spain and this was the photograph I got of her.

Morriston Chapel Coin Story

This photo was taken at Morriston Chapel.  The story was to do with a coin that they believed to be placed underneath the top of the steeple by a little girl back in the 18th century; while they're doing up the church, they're gonna check if the legends true and if a coin is really there (as far as I can remember).
